GROOVE HEAD FLYROD LURE
Here's one I recently bought for a friend.
It's a GROOVE HEAD flyrod lure: The standard size Groove head wood
lure, measuring 3-1/4", was patented in 1948, designed by a woman
named Josephine Cole, one of only a dozen or so women known to
have designed lures (excluding flies and fly rod lures).
Made in Van Dyke, Michigan by Colger Mfg. Co. It is so named
because of the groove in the front of the body.
The flyrod size (pictured here) is also wood, measures 2"
in length and has the same groove feature. I don't believe
this is in any reference books. Tom Jacomet
